Dr. Elchalakani 为西澳大利亚大学土木工程专业副教授、澳大利亚土木工程杂志副主编、澳大利亚注册专业工程师 (CPEng) 和注册建造师 (RBP),同时在澳洲和埃及的国家专业工程师协会(NPE)中注册。 Dr. Elchalakani 目前研究方向包括混凝土结构耐久性, 碱激发混凝土材料,钢管的侵蚀与修复,近海离岸结构以及碳纤维材料加固的混凝土结构。除了丰富的学术背景外,Dr. Elchalakani还拥有25年以上在澳洲及中东的关于基础设施建设的工程技术经验,这些经验包括设计,施工以及岩土和地质结构工程。 |

CV of Dr Elchalakani:
He current main research interests are concrete durability, corrosion and repair of steel pipelines, and offshore structures as well as concrete structures using advanced carbon fibre laminates. Dr. Elchalakani, in addition to his solid and competent and academic background, has more than 25 years of Technical Experiences in the fields of Broadcast, Infrastructure and Buildings in Australia and the Middle East. His technical experience covers Design and Construction Fields & Structural, Geotechnical, and Geo-structural Engineering.
Dr. Elchalakani’s Buildings/Structures (Low- to High-rise Buildings, Water and Sewage Plants, Water Tanks, and Communication Towers) Projects Expertise cover Concrete, Metallic, Rubberised Concrete, and Carbon Fibre Repair of Structures, Underground, Water, and Marine Structures in addition to familiarity with different relevant Software, whereas his Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering Experiences cover Different Types of Foundations (Shallow Foundations, Mats, Drilled Shafts, Piles, Pile Caps, and Piers), Soil-structure interaction, Temporary and Permanent Support of Excavation and Earth Retaining Structures/Walls, in addition to familiarity with different relevant Software.
Dr. Elchalakani’s key industry and academic experiences include computational analysis, experimental testing, structural stability, and design of steel and composite structures, including Carbon Fibre repair of pipelines and metallic bridges. He is also active in contributing to the technical publication environment and has published over 100 peer reviewed technical papers on these topics. He is currently an approved reviewer for the Structural Engineering Journal published by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Engineering Journal published by the American Institute of Steel Structural (AISC), Journal of Constructional Steel Research and Engineering Structures Journal and Composites Structures Journal and Thin-Walled Structures Journal, all published by Elsevier.
Dr. Elchalakani received several awards, including the Holman Medal for the most outstanding PhD thesis and the Hunt Award for excellence in Research in Engineering. He also received the prestigious Japanese Society for Promotion of Science Fellowship and Monash University Postgraduate Publication Award for his outstanding publication record, in addition to receiving a number of collaborative research grants at Victoria University. Moreover, Dr Elchalakani is a certified Problem Based Learning Educator.
