邢景棠教授简介：
Jing Tang XING currently is an Emeritus Professor of Applied Mechanics, Fluid-Structure Interaction Research Group, Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences, University of Southampton. He was selected as a Chartered Mathematician, Fellow of Institute of Mathematics & Applications in 1998, Editorial advisor of Journal of Sound & vibration in 2004 and an Official Membership of ASME PVPD Fluid Structure Interaction Technical Committee in 2007. He was a Member of Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering, Chinese Society of Theoretical & Applied Mechanics, Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics as well as a member of Editorial Board of Journal of Vibration Engineering, CSVE before joining University of Southampton.
Professor Xing got his first degree in applied mechanics from China in 1967, after which he became a research and development engineer engaging in research of structural dynamics at the Institute of Structure and Strength, where he attended and supervised about 10 ground vibration tests of full-scale aircrafts. From 1978, he studied in the Department of Engineering Mechanics, Tsinghua University and earned MSc in 1981 and PhD in 1984. He joined the Faculty of Engineering Science & Applied Science at BUAA from 1985 and became a full Professor of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in 1988, and elected as a qualified PhD supervisor by China National Authority in 1992. He led and managed a lot of Chinese research projects, which resulted in two Chinese Awards for the progress of science & technology. As a visiting professor he has been invited to give seminars and lectures in many universities in the world. He joined the University of Southampton in 1998.
Professor Xing is an internationally recognized expert in theoretical and applied mechanics, especially in fluid-structure interaction dynamics. He has been registered as an expert of NPU 111 project in China foreign exports affaires. His research interest is in applied mechanics and mathematics with applications in engineering, which covers theoretical, numerical and experimental researches in dynamics including linear and nonlinear fluid-solid interaction / continuum dynamics, structural dynamics and vibration controls, numerical methods for dynamic analysis, power flow analysis etc. He has published over 250 papers in refereed journals and conferences, and one of his new books: “Energy Flow theory of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems with Applications” was published by Springer in 2015. A new book of “Fluid-solid interaction dynamics: theory, variational principles, numerical method and applications” has been accepted by Elsevier and HEP and in publication process.
